How to connect a TP-Link switch

Prepared for preliminary research by the ENSAA knowledge desk. Confirm optical interfaces, port or core capacity, electrical input and output, enclosure protection, thermal design and installation limits against current standards and product documentation.

You can connect to a TP-Link switch by physically linking devices via Ethernet and optionally accessing its management interface through a web browser, console, or Telnet.

Physical Connection

Place the switch on a flat, stable surface with proper ventilation, ensuring the top cover faces up for heat dissipation. Power the switch by connecting the included power adapter to the switch's power socket and plugging it into a power source.

D should light up to confirm operation. Connect devices using Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher recommended) to the available RJ45 ports. This includes computers, routers, printers, or other switches.
